Segling!

Hej vad det gick när vi seglade idag. Går rejält mycket sjö men vi var mycket nöjda och genomblöta när vi kom i land.

Lördag

Fem kilometer löpning och ett långt dopp i sjön hann jag med innan ösregnet kom.

Nu blir det mys i soffan och kolla på OS.

Hejdå morfar

Igår var en ledsam dag. Morfar avled ju samma vecka som jag åkte till England och jag missade begravningen. Men eftersom han ville bli kremerad så blev det en ceremoni till, urnsättning, som jag kunde vara med på.

Mormor ville att jag skulle bära urnan och sänka ner den i gropen i minneslunden. Vi sjöng några sånger, en sång unisont och de andra i två stämmor och en sång fick vi till fyr-stämmigt till och med (det är roligt att min släkt är så musikalisk).

Det blev ett jättefint avslut för morfar och jag tror alla var nöjda.

Jag bölade som ett barn naturligtvis. När jag skulle läsa en dikt sprutade tårarna åt alla håll. Men det är väl så det ska vara antar jag..

Öland

I Finspång en snabbis

Kom hem till Finspång en snabbis för att packa om lite grejer inför östkust-trippen imorgon. Myran blev som galen, hon löper och nu vill hon kissa revir så att han-hundarna hittar henne. Problemet är att vi har varit ute två vändor redan men hon är inte nöjd. Hon vill gå ut mer. Helst till grannen Brasse så de kan göra dvärgpinsher/tax-valpar. Så nu piper hon vid ytterdörren...

Idag:

Semestern fortsätter

Det händer inte mycket, vi njuter av semestern. Solar, badar, åker båt, tränar, löser korsord, spelar rumble, fikar... Det är ljuvligt.

Min Karl stack till öland imorse. Igår kväll kom vi andra på att det kanske vore roligt att åka till Öland så nu har vi bokat in en roadtrip några dagar nästa vecka. Först Loftahammar för ett besök hos mammas och pappas kompisar och sedan fortsätter vi ner till Öland och tittar till min Karl. Jag har bokat oss på Strand hotell i Borgholm. Hundrum för Myran ska såklart följa med.

Semester!

Jag älskar den svenska sommaren och att ha semester med familjen!

Imorse sprang vi 4 km tillsammans och sedan åkte vi till café pärlan och käkade räkmackor. Jag har badat i sjön massor av gånger och försökt skona min svidande röda hud kropp mot ytterligare röd-bränna. Jag har cyklat med Myran i cykelkorgen och vi har ätit middag i kvällssolen på altanen och kollat på film. Nu ska jag och min Karl hoppa i badtunnan.

Jag sa ju att det är underbart med semester.

Räkan

Underbar dag i stugan. Ser numera ut som en räka efter en dag i solen efter 4 veckors regn i England.

Söndag

Hann med mycket igår;
Powerwalk med Myran, pussa på 5 veckor gamla hundvalpar, mys med lilleman med glass och gunga i bruksparken och middag hos goda vänner på kvällen.

Mycket lyckad dag.

Hemma!

Fyra veckor. Så lite tid men det känns som en evighet. Gissa vem som började storböla när jag fick se de här tokarna på flygplatsen. Pappa och Myran väntade utanför. Vad jag ar saknat min familj!

Bus!

Starting my trip back home with 3,5 hours by bus to Stansted. It's going to be a long day...

Happy girl

Returning to Sweden with a certificate in advanced English including grades which I can be really proud of. Such a progress I've made during this four weeks.

From now and on I'll not hesitate to use the English language anymore. This course has helped me to proof to my self that I can!

Last day tomorrow

Last day at school tomorrow, strange feeling. Four weeks feels like two days but in the same time it feels like I've been here for a really long time, much longer than 4 weeks.

Tomorrow is my final day and I will get my certificate after the morning class and than I need to pack my things and clean my room. Hopefully I'll have time for a goodbye dinner with my friends afterwards. How do you say goodbye to people that you maybe not will see again?!

Barbecue

It's Olya's birthday today and we're celebrating with barbecue dinner. Not the perfect weather, though. But the guys were brave and wanted to try.

It didn't work very well so the meat just ended up in the frying pan. But who cares, we're having fun anyway.

Holy Freud

We went to Freud yesterday, a pub in an old church, so cool. But I guess there must be different opinions about the pub, it actually felt a little bit weird to sit in a church and drink cocktails.

Anyway, I decided to try something new instead of Pimm's and ordered a holy Freud lemonade, a good decision, it was lovely!

I'm famous

Ok maybe not but I'm actually in the promotion movie for our school for about 2 seconds. It's true as they say in the movie, we're like one big family here,  I know almost everybody in the movie.

St Johns collage

We went to St Johns collage yesterday together with the morning class. It was really fun and we were allowed to visit the president's house and it was huge. The gardens in the collage was also really beautiful but the most impressive thing was when our guide told us about the enormous wine cellar under the whole collage area. But unfortunately were we not allowed to do down there.

Instead we took some pictures out in the garden. I really like my classmates!

Bicester Village

Wanted to do some outing today so I decided to go to Bicester Village. Albina wanted to join me and we had a great day. Bicester Village is a shopping area in the middle of nowhere (about 45 min by bus from Oxford) with all the exclusive brands. I didn't plan to buy something but when I went in to the Ralph Lauren store and found a huge sale I couldn't stop myself. I bought two shirts, one cable knit sweater and one more sweater.

I'm a hunter

I tried to pack my bag and weighted it this morning. I realised that I have four kilos more so I walked to the city to find something to fill it with. It wasn't that hard because I had something special in mind.

Surprise!

We went to a Japanese restaurant for lunch today. I'm the most picky person in the world when it's about food and I always order safe cards. But today, surprisingly, I was really brave and took something from the menu that I didn't know anything about, one japanese guy from school said it was good so i decided to trust him and try. I still don't really know what it was but it was actually really good. I think there were noodles, chicken, some unidentified typ of grass and everything was swimming together in some kind of soup.

What have happened to me? Have this three weeks living with foreign people form different countries around the world made me realise that everything which seems strange to me isn't necessary dangerous? Probably not. But I would say it's a step in right direction.

Best morning class ever!

Had the last part of the morning class in a cafe just practising speaking, really good! Especially with the hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows.

Relax after a hard day in school

July 4th

We had a birthday dinner here in our student house yesterday. 14 people from Italy and than me, Yasmin, Albina and Michael. We were the only who spoke english the other just talked to each other in italian. In some reason, i don't know why, the people from Italy thought that I was the owner of the house, that was really fun at least...

Today we did some shopping after school. I helped Albina to buy a new phone and I bought a pair of shoes on sale in River Island.

My homework for today was to write an essay about some organization which has done something good for something or somebody, like charity or something good for the environment. It took me a while to come up with the idea of writing about the green bags used for recycling in Linköping. It's not an organization but the purpose is good for the environment. I've just finished and I hope it's good enough.

My house mates just knocked on my door to tell me that they are going to some club. I can't understand how they have enough energy for that. I'm exhausted after a day in school and some shopping and homework...

Monday

Ordinary Monday at school. My new class seems to be really great. Did some shopping after school before I went home to do all my homework, which actually was a lot of work today.
Got some of my writing exercisers back with really good comments, made a lot for the self confidence. Apparently I'm not that bad as I thought I was.

The evening was spent together with some friends. Dinner at our place (Michael cooked) and after that we saw a movie in our living room.

Now I'm going to sleep.

I admit

I sometimes feel homesick. Today is sometimes.

I really miss them back home.

Spagetti Carbonara

Michael is cooking dinner for four girls. And he doesn't even live here. Nice guy.

London

The trip to London was great!

We took the bus from Oxford at 8 am and arrived at Marble Arch about 1,5 hours later. We started our day in Oxford street to do some shopping. Forever 21 is in London now and Victorias secret will open this year, love it!

We took a walk to the Sherlock Holmes museum (on our way on Baker street we bought the best ice cream
I've ever tasted!) but it was a long waiting time to enter so we just took some photos outside. After that we took a taxi to Piccadilly circus and walked to Trafalgar square and sat on the stairs in the sun. We had dinner (fish and chips) at Sherlock Holmes pub, close to Trafalgar square.

We picked out the tickets I booked to the musical about 6.30 pm and then we had some rest (my feet was really tired) before the musical started.

It was AMAZING!! The best musical I've ever seen! I would love to see it again today if I could.
